I’ve spent some time today looking at Hello Slide as a potential tool for producing interactive resources (NEW or from existing PowerPoint Presentations), for a Flipped and/or more traditional Learning Environment.

“I hate the way I sound.”

I hear that complaint quite often. Many people, practitioners and learners alike, do not like the sound of their own voice. It is quite common.

It’s also quite natural to dislike the sound of your own voice when hearing a recorded version of it, in podcasts, vidcasts, interviews and the list goes on.

Is that the barrier preventing you, or your colleagues, from producing videos, audios and other resources for your learners? Well, let us say, Is it one of the barriers?

The result of my evaluation of HelloSlide is, it may be one tool to remove that barrier.

How?

Well saving any presentation as a pdf, practitioners and learners can upload the pdf, then type the speech for each slide.

That’s what I have done with this presentation, http://www.helloslide.com/presentations/mvf4x8grg4/001does-this-work-for-you, and HelloSlide has automagically generated the audio.

What do you think? Are you going to give it a try? Are you going to get your learners to use it?

If you produce any resources, will you share it here?

I hope so as HelloSlide will transform your slides into a rich audio-visual format, recreating the experience of a live lecture.

"please don't print this unless you really need to!"
